The best of all worlds is the beauty of Southwark's trio of St. Christopher's hostel locations. Quiet Orient Espresso, the ancient Inn and party central Village; has everything you could ever possibly need. Living in London' centre has you walking to the River Thames, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the London Dungeon, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern Gallery and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The kind of attractions that don't need introduction or explanation and the reasons that thousands of tourists come to London every year are all part of your new neighbourhood. There is also the Borough Market, a traditional fruit and vegetable market that also carries specialty food, seafood and organic/fair trade foods.
