Davids Cozy Little Backpacker Hostel
is situated in the ground floor of a historic house of 1895.
Perfect for people who love a romantic atmosphere.
We have a Reception with a living-room , with a romantic atmosphere..
The dorms have shared bath-rooms,
The doubles share a bath-room combined with a kitchen with just one other room,
the apartment is completly separate with a own kitchen .
Everyone can meet the other guests in the morning on our common breakfast-table.
Moreover, we have a cozy Living-room with a jungle of plants, and sofas, for chilling out, with lots of opportunities for talks and contacts with nice international guests from all continents.

Berlin is a city with 150.000 gays and lesbians, who are especially welcome in our city and in our place.
Those, who do not like that, should stay away. People with homophobic attitudes might get cancelled right away.
Our cozy hostel has a definite non-smoking policy, because David is, after snoking for years a militant non-smoker, who fight the evil, he was a victim of for years. Smokers are welcome, but they can not smoking here, not even in front of the door. Minimum a cross the street ! And not to mention it !
David's is in the ground floor of an historic building built 1890.
In the begining it was a hostel already, call Herberge then, mainly for young people, coming from remote areas of the new formed german Empire., lokking for a new life in Berlin.
From 1920 to 1994 it was a German Kneipe / Beer bar / Wirtshaus for drinking and Eating.
From 1994-96 it was a 'Sun-Studio', with sun tanning machines, where we inherite the white tiles on the floor from.
The new hostel of david came after 1996
The place offers a lot of opportunities for talks and contacts with other travellers.
We want open-minded, friendly, relaxed, tolerant and laid-back international guests,
cultural explorers, night-life-experts and german-language-students,
from anywhere in Europe, Asia, Africa & South and North-America.
Surprisingly, guests from Shanghai (China), Russia, Turkey ,Ukrainia and former Sowjet Union complained very often and are not happy in our place.
where as people from Australia, Japan, Belgium, New Zeeland ,England, Scotland, Canada, Taiwan, Germany,Scandinavia, Finland, Africa and Chengdu (China) are mostly always very excited and happy about our cozy set up.
Some might find our antique outfit being cool and cozy, others may prefer more the modern style. We are definitely not modern, but old fashioned.
Alcohol is only in limited quantities allowed.
Smoking only outside in the parc, please.
Simple, quiet and smoke-free bed-rooms :
Girls-Dorm, Mixed Dorms and a few Double-Rooms some floors up in quiet 2 room-apartments
The Doubles are outside of the main hostel building across the street at a walking distances of 2 minutes
All apartments have a common bath-room combined with a small extra kitchen.
The common areas of the hostel , open to everyone like the kitchen and the living-room.

Our hostel is completely free of smoke, but you may smoke outside in the garden zone in front of our house, with some benches to sit on, under the trees.
Our bed-rooms are quiet, with private lamps for everyone.
In our cozy little living-room, you can always meet some nice people, read books from our library or listen to music.
Please bring your own CDs or cassettes to play them.
