Hostel Description
Welcome to Hällefors Hostel & Canoe-center 'Älghornet', just between Stockholm and Oslo, surrounded by many lakes, rivers and forrest.
Many people use our central location and facilities for a travelbreak and visiting the interesting area, which is typical for the 'Heart of Sweden'. Perfect place to have a travelbreak in this country village which is surrounded by beautiful nature and wilderness. Even centrally situated to visit the Hällefors Sculptureparks, Grythyttan/Måltidens Hus and Nature reserve Knuthöjdsmossen. And because the nearby Svartälven-river, you have to experience at least one Canoe-or Kayak-adventure, which you'll never forget! Also bikes and wildlife-equipment for hire.
In winter you can participate in the popular ice-sculpture workshops or undertake a cross country ski-tour. Or visit Hällefors Icefestival 'Isstjärnan' in February.
