Who we are
|
hostelseurope.com offers users a selection of over 3,000 hostels around Europe, all of which can be booked online through our site.
Our staff has years of experience in the industry, having travelled extensively for both business and pleasure. There are not many corners of the planet that they haven't paid a visit to and many of the hostels featured on hostelseurope.com have also been frequented by staff members.

What we offer the traveller?

Our technology offers the backpacker the guarantee of an immediate confirmed booking by paying a 10% deposit with their credit card. The transaction is processed online using our secure automated credit card processing service. The backpacker gets a printable confirmation online which they bring with them to the hostel. The remaining 90% of the booking value is payable by the guest on arrival at the hostel.

How the booking process works
|
You first need to choose a destination and your dates in our search panel. You will then see all the hostels which are available for those dates in that particular city. Once you have selected a hostel, you need to choose your room type and the number of persons you wish to book for. At this stage you will have reached the booking page where you are asked for your credit or debit card details. These are required to pay a 10% deposit online to secure your reservation.
You will also be charged a fee of US$2.00 to cover the services and tax charges. When you arrive at your chosen accommodation, you will be required to pay the remaining 90% due on your bill. You will receive an on-screen confirmation of your reservation which you should print and bring to the hostel. The 90% balance due when you arrive at the hostel will be clearly displayed on your booking confirmation. This confirmation will also be e-mailed to you if you provide a valid e-mail address when completing your personal details.
Once you click the "Confirm" button it should only take up to 1 minute to receive confirmation of your booking on screen. Do not click the confirm button more than once or you will be charged more than once. Please note that due to the nature of the internet and individual e-mail servers that sometimes confirmation e-mails will not be received.

Sign-up to have your hostel featured on hostelseurope.com and you are promoted through a variety of means. You will be given a detailed full 'microsite' which will include a description of your hostel, a list of the hostel's facilities and an online bookings facility offering confirmed online reservations. You will also be promoted through search engines, press and guidebooks, links from travel websites, printed promotional material distributed internationally, travel shows and expos and our network of over 600 affiliated websites worldwide. Any hostel can sign-up for this service. Simply fill in the on-line sign-up form below. You will be issued with a username and password for the secure area of our site where you can allocate beds and set-up prices on-line. Click here to sign up.
